Responsibilities
- 1. Implementation of Quality Control Plan: Execute electrical quality control activities in line with the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP); Prepare and implement the Electrical Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) to ensure compliance with design and technical specifications.
- 2. Materials and Equipment Inspection: Review and inspect electrical materials and equipment (cables, switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, etc.) to verify compliance with project design and standards. Check supplier documents such as certificates, test reports, and technical datasheets to ensure completeness and validity.
- 3. Construction Quality Supervision: Monitor electrical installation activities to confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety requirements. Inspect key works such as cable laying, switchgear installation, and wiring connections. Ensure proper installation of high-voltage, low-voltage, and explosion-proof equipment according to safety and technical standards.
- 4. Electrical Testing and Inspection: Conduct insulation resistance, grounding resistance, functional, and load tests on electrical systems and equipment. Verify the performance of electrical protection systems (short-circuit, overload, etc.) under operating conditions.
- 5. Wiring and Cabling Verification: Inspect electrical wiring and terminations to ensure reliability and compliance with standards. Verify installation of grounding systems according to design and safety requirements. Check actual installations against approved drawings to prevent wiring errors.
- 6. Documentation and Records Management: Record inspection and testing results, and prepare quality reports. Maintain complete quality documents, inspection records, and reports in compliance with project requirements. Ensure documentation is properly archived and available for audits.
- 7. Quality Audit and Rectification: Participate in internal and external quality audits. Follow up on non-conformances and verify that corrective actions are effectively implemented. Coordinate with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure compliance with design and specification. Provide quality-related input during project coordination meetings.
- 9. Risk Management and Quality Improvement: Identify potential quality risks during electrical works and implement preventive measures. Recommend quality improvement initiatives to enhance construction quality.
- 10. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure electrical construction, inspection, and testing activities comply with safety, environmental, and occupational health regulations. Pay special attention to explosion-proof installation, electrical overload protection, and anti-shock measures.
- 11. System Testing and Handover: Conduct functional and acceptance tests of electrical systems to ensure performance meets design requirements. Support system handover activities and confirm readiness for safe operation.
- 12. Quality Issues Tracking and Reporting: Report electrical quality issues to the project management team and ensure timely corrective actions. Track and verify the effectiveness of corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- 13. Safety Duties During Project Start-Up Phase: Monitor temporary power supply and electrical safety arrangements during construction preparation and early execution. Inspect electrical tools, temporary distribution systems, and protective devices to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Participate in safety training and induction sessions to promote electrical safety awareness among site personnel.
