Job summary

A leading procurement company in Jakarta Utara seeks an experienced Purchasing Manager to develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in procurement, including a managerial role, and must be fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English. Responsibilities include supplier evaluations, price negotiations, managing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Qualifications

Job description

Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives

Source, evaluate, and select suppliers, especially Mandarin-speaking suppliers

Conduct price, contract, and delivery negotiations with suppliers in Mandarin and English

Manage purchase orders, supplier contracts, and procurement documentation

Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and compliance

Coordinate with production, warehouse, finance, and sales departments

Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations

Analyze market trends, cost structures, and supply risks

Handle import-related coordination (if applicable), including lead time and documentation

Resolve supplier-related issues and maintain strong long-term supplier relationships

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) – mandatory
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost analysis
