About the job Production Assistant Manager

Profile: Our client is a textile industry in Indonesia, established in 1973. The facility has 158,880 spindles and a total production capacity of 48,236 MTPA, with the latest Vortex spinning technology and 960 MVS positions. The client is a leading producer of rayon spun yarn and the largest exporter of rayon and rayon-polyester spun yarn from Indonesia.

Certifications include SVCOC, FSC, RCS, GRS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, ISO 50001, OEKO-TEX 100, and Higg.

Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Textile.
  • Required language(s): English
  • Experience: At least 10-15 year(s) of working experience in Textile (Spinning Business). Spinning experience means understanding Blow room, Carding, Draw Frame, Simplex, Ring Frame, Winding, TFO, Packing; specific in rayon & cotton material.
  • Skills: Strong analytical & problem-solving skills; great verbal & written communication skills (English & Indonesia); negotiation skill; meticulous attention to detail; strong interpersonal skill; proficient in MS Office
  • Understand labor law
  • Nationality: Indonesian citizen
Job Description
  • Product Quality: In today’s highly competitive global textile scenario, where customer expectation is increasing due to new technology and end applications of yarn, provide consistent and top-class quality with comparatively old machines (e.g., Howa cards, RSB 951 draw frames, Schlfhorst 338 winders).
  • Manufacturing cost: Produce yarn at a competitive cost to improve the bottom line; focus on reducing manufacturing costs by efficient resource utilization within budgeted costs.
  • Manpower Rationalization: Challenge to reduce headcount year over year while production increases to maintain manpower cost constant, given rising labor costs in Indonesia.
  • Responsibilities: Supervise the production department to achieve maximum product efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement company regulations, work instructions, and procedures in the production process.
  • Control productivity, quality, housekeeping and optimum machine utilization.
  • Responsible for production targets.
  • Responsible for employees’ skills.
  • Ensure smooth running of the production process.
Job Accountabilities
  • PRODUCTION OPERATION: Plan, schedule, implement the production program and control the yield factor.
  • PRODUCT QUALITY: Drive and ensure quality at all stages of production to meet desired product quality.
  • PROCESS INNOVATION & BENCHMARKING: Motivate, initiate and plan for implementing process innovation, improvisation and benchmarking.
  • COST CONTROL - POWER: Plan and manage manpower and control power cost as per budgeted norms.
  • MACHINERY MAINTENANCE: Ensure availability of machines and equipment to meet target production in coordination with other functions.
  • CUSTOMER FEEDBACK: Ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken based on customer feedback analysis.
  • PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Assess skill levels, motivate and develop subordinates to take higher responsibilities.
  • QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS: Adhere to quality, environment and safety standards as applicable.
