Job summary

A leading cosmetics company in Jakarta Utara is seeking an experienced Product Manager to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of its cosmetics line in Indonesia. The ideal candidate will develop localized strategies based on consumer insights and trends, manage cross-functional teams for successful launch, and ensure compliance with local regulations. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a degree in a related field, and fluency in English. Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.

Job description

To own the end-to-end product lifecycle for our cosmetics line in the Indonesian market. You will deeply understand the needs of Indonesian consumers, define and drive product strategies suited to the local market from concept to launch, ensuring business goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop localized product strategy and launch roadmap based on deep analysis of Indonesian beauty trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights.
  • Create product briefs and collaborate with global R&D teams to develop or adapt products suitable for the Indonesian climate, skin types, and preferences.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Regulatory Affairs to ensure products comply with local Indonesian regulations and launch on schedule.
  • Lead cross‑functional launch teams (Marketing, Sales, Training) to ensure successful product commercialization in Indonesia.
  • Define and track key product success metrics for the Indonesian market.
  • Conduct post‑launch analysis, gather market feedback, and propose product improvement plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (Mandarin will be an advantage).
  • 3+ years of product management or product marketing experience, with at least 2 years specifically in the cosmetics, skincare, FMCG, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of cosmetic development processes and basic knowledge of beauty claim regulations in Indonesia.
  • Excellent analytical and cross‑cultural communication skills.
