Job summary

A leading palm-based consumer company in Indonesia seeks a dedicated professional to support restoration and biodiversity monitoring activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of experience in forestry or conservation. Responsibilities include operational planning, field data collection, and vendor coordination. Proficiency in GIS tools and MS Office is advantageous, along with strong communication skills. Frequent travel to remote areas is required. This position is based in Jakarta.

Support the implementation of restoration, conservation, ARR/ANR, peatland rehabilitation, nursery, and biodiversity monitoring activities along with PIC and Site Manager team.

Job Description
Operational Planning & Implementation Support
  • Support the preparation and breakdown of annual, quarterly, and monthly workplans into weekly and site-level activity plans.
  • Translate approved project plans into clear field schedules, and task lists for site PICs and coordinator.
  • Support on-ground implementation of planting, maintenance, enrichment, fire prevention, and monitoring activities.
  • Ensure all field activities are executed in accordance with approved technical guidelines, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Conduct regular coordination (calls/site visits) with field teams to ensure targets, timelines, and deliverables are clearly understood and executed.
  • Identify early signs of delay or implementation issues and propose adjustments to the workplan for supervisor review.
Field Monitoring, Data Collection & Reporting
  • Monitor the operations timeline, tracking KPIs and actively engage site PICs to deliver the outcome or pivot from the workplan if necessary.
  • Collect and compile field data related to planting, survival rate, maintenance, nursery output, and biodiversity monitoring.
  • Support preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports, including issues, risks, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date field documentation (photos, maps, activity logs) and integrate data into the operations dashboard or reporting system.
Vendor & Field Team Coordination
  • Coordinate day-to-day field activities with contractors, vendors, and community groups.
  • Monitor vendor performance against scope of work, timelines, and quality standards during implementation.
  • Flag and report deviations, delays, or quality issues promptly to the Asst. Manager, supported by field evidence.
  • Support basic verification of completed work (progress checks, documentation, photos) for internal reporting and review purposes.
Logistics & Operational Coordination
  • Support coordination of logistics, materials, tools, and equipment required for field operations.
  • Assist in planning field schedules, site visits, and activity sequencing.
  • Support overall project implementation, acting as mini PMO to coordinate with field teams, admin, finance, project collaborators, and procurement teams for operational needs as required.
Job Requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in forestry, conservation, or field-based plantation activities.
  • Strong execution and follow-through, with the ability to collect, organize, and report field data accurately and consistently.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS tools (QGIS/ArcGIS) and drone operations is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and other reporting tools.
  • Good coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across field and office teams.
  • High level of discipline to ensure timely and accurate communication of field updates to decision-makers.
  • Able to travel to remote areas frequently (>50%).
  • Willing to be placed in Head Office Jakarta (Thamrin).
