A Market Intelligence Associate is responsible for helping organizations understand the external market landscape. It supports strategic decision-making by providing insights into market trends, customer behavior, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities or threats. It involves gathering and analyzing information about the external business environment, including competitors, customers, and industry trends.
What you will do
- Heavily involved in analyzing market trends to determine property grading for new potential locations, in collaboration with the Business Development team
- Ensure that all properties that achieve a passing grade become the next Nebula
- Analyzing and calculating the OCC and ARR to create comprehensive revenue projections for each new & existing location
- Gathering and analyzing data from various ancillary sources to draft potential revenue projections
- Conduct an on-site survey before the launch date of new branches to gather insights regarding demand, competitors, activities, F&B (Food and Beverage) offerings, culture, and GTM (Go-to-Market) strategies
- Provide insights and recommendations to all relevant stakeholders to minimize the ramp-up period, crafting ideas, and formulate strategies for optimizing revenue based on the pre-live site survey results
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to provide timely insights
- Main PIC for International Expansion secondary research (Growth side)
- Generate customer profiles and personas through surveys and data analysis. Understand customer behavior, preferences, and pain points to support product development and marketing strategies
- Investigate and analyze competitors' products, pricing, and marketing strategies. Provide detailed reports on competitor strengths and weaknesses, allowing Bobobox to make informed decisions
- Monitor and follow up post-research initiatives with stakeholders
- Conduct follow up research and formulate recommendations to boost the performance of post-research initiatives (if necessary)
- Conduct strategic ad-hoc research for various stakeholders
- Create report and formulate recommendations for various stakeholders
You will fit in this job if you
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in market research, business analysis, or a related role
- Familiarity with data analysis, statistical tools, and data visualization, with the ability to interpret market data
- Knowledge of market intelligence methodologies, market dynamics, trends, and competitive landscapes
- Experience conducting primary and secondary market research, including survey design, data collection, and competitor analysis
- Ability to present research findings and complex data in a clear and concise manner
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams
- Willingness to travel frequently for business purposes
- Have experience in travel, hospitality, OTA, or lifestyle industry is a plus
- Have experience in basic dashboarding (Looker, Metabase) and SQL skill is a plus
