Overview
You will manage the Project Controlling of Process Automation for Indonesia and Thailand and extend support to the business manager by providing financial information to help informed decision making.
Responsibilities
- Project financial management including budgeting, forecasting, managing project cost, maintaining compliance with internal policies and IFRS, participation in monthly project reviews, inputs on bids including costing sheet review, financial analytics including monthly cost variance reviews, book closing, month end reporting and oversight of accounts receivable, analysis of order backlog, with a primary focus to minimize risks, reduce costs and stop revenue leakage.
- Build long-term relationships with stakeholders and act as an expert finance business partner to help the business achieve profitable growth. Work closely with project managers to prepare robust financial budgets and forecasts and understand the financial implications and outcomes of project activities.
- Prepare monthly financial information and analysis for projects to explain actual financial performance to stakeholders and enable appropriate project financial accounting for revenue recognition and cost recognition. Address inconsistencies to management and propose solutions when needed.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial management practices and financial awareness across the business.
- Evaluate the financial implications of strategic decisions, build scenarios and recommend actions. Address ad hoc financial reporting requirements as they arise.
- Perform year-end analytics and reporting and assist with special projects or process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant, or Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Control, Audit) from a university or business school.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role (project controlling) supporting management with insight, analysis, and financial results.
- Proactive, tenacious, self-motivated, results-oriented with integrity.
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and knowledge of SAP (PS, FICO).
- Strong problem solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of authority across the business.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
