Job description

Lead and manage the engineering department to deliver design and technical services for mining projects.

Provide technical direction, review, and approval of engineering deliverables across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.

Ensure engineering outputs meet project requirements, industry standards, client expectations, and regulatory compliance (including mining and HSE standards).

Coordinate and integrate multi-disciplinary engineering activities to achieve project objectives.

Develop, implement, and monitor engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.

Support project teams during planning, design, and execution phases, particularly in civil and infrastructure works (earthworks, haul roads, stockpiles, structural facilities).

Manage engineering resources, workload distribution, and skill development within the team.

Conduct technical risk assessments and provide solutions to mitigate project risks.

Collaborate closely with Project Managers, clients, and other stakeholders to align engineering deliverables with project goals.

Mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical staff.
