Job Role: Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant
The Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding.
Candidates with some experience in care and a compassionate nature are preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping patients with washing, showering, dressing
- Assisting with feeding and serving food
- Making and changing beds
- Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
- Providing companionship to reduce anxiety
- Helping patients move around
- Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
- Maintaining cleanliness of wards or homes
- Managing supplies and equipment
Work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospital departments. With experience, training new healthcare assistants may be involved.
