As a Manual/Conventional Machinist, you will be responsible for completing a diverse range of machining tasks with precision and efficiency. Your key duties will include:
- Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings.
- Operating and managing a variety of manual machinery, including:
- Manual turning and milling.
- Centre lathes.
- Vertical and horizontal borers.
- Conducting general mechanical engineering assembly tasks.
- Ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and conducting thorough quality checks before final inspection and dispatch.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Extensive experience as a manual machinist, with proficiency in multiple machining disciplines.
- A time-served background or a recognised apprenticeship/qualification in machining or mechanical engineering.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and project requirements.
