Job summary

A global leader in industrial process fluids located in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled machinist to operate and maintain various machines. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to read engineering drawings, use measuring equipment, and have at least 3 years of experience. Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Use measuring equipment micrometres.
• Operate manual lathe.
• Operate cylindrical and surface grinders.
• 3 years’ experience working under own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathe, grinding machine, lapping machine, polishing machine as required.
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance of the above listed machines.
• Maintain machine logbooks.
• Ensure adequate stock of consumable parts, cutting tips, cutters, grinding wheels etc.
• Comply with all Client Health and Safety controls, processes and other requirements on Client work sites.
• Contribute ideas to improve productivity and performance.
