A technology firm in Manchester is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to manage their development team. The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code and experience with various technologies, including AWS. This role requires proficiency in coding languages like Go, Python, or TypeScript, and a record of enhancing deployment and operational practices. A hybrid work model is offered along with a competitive salary package.

- Experience running a data-warehousing solution.
Responsabilidades
- Manage and lead the platform development team.
- Oversee the implementation and management of IaC.
- Enhance and optimize infrastructure capabilities.
Conocimientos
Lead Platform Engineer– Hybrid – £80-90k IaC, AWS, Cloud, Linux, Kubernetes, Python, Go, TypeScript, Terraform, Ansible, Git, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Internet Tech. This exciting and established client is looking to add a Lead Platform Engineer to their development team. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, with extensive hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for managing networks and systems. You will have a track record of enhancing deployment practices, strengthening infrastructure capabilities, and improving operational resilience. This role also includes line-management responsibilities. Core skills required :
- Excellent experience with IaC in a multi-region cloud environment using Terraform, Ansible or OpenTofu
- Strong experience with Linux-based operating systems
- Proficiency in at least one coding language such as Go, Python or TypeScript
- Solid experience with data storage systems including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch and Redis
- Experience running a data-warehousing solution and a customer data platform
- Hands-on knowledge of core internet technologies (TCP, HTTP, DNS, etc.)
- Experience managing a small team
- Experience with AWS is desirable
