A leading construction company in Rotherham is looking for a General Operative to join their team. The successful candidate will handle general labor tasks related to the installation of clean water mains and will be required to adhere to high health and safety standards. Candidates should possess a CSCS card and experience in civil engineering projects. This position offers opportunities for training and career advancement.

An opportunity has arisen for a General Operative to join the team at Galliford Try with our Yorkshire team. Working as part of our water framework, we are now looking for a General Operative for our clean water main installation team. Based in Rotherham and surrounding areas, you will support the project teams through the project life‑cycle.
We are looking for experienced and confident individuals with sound knowledge of working on civil engineering projects with a positive, open and friendly.
As an experienced general operative you will be responsible for undertaking general labouring duties, unloading (both mechanical and by hand), moving/loading out of materials, working on excavations and installations of pipework, concrete work and general civil engineering operational activities; and to ensure good housekeeping on site. At all times, you must adhere to our high standards of health and safety during the execution of your duties. Work safely under the guidance of a Site Manager.
