Job Title: SEN Primary Tutor
Location: 3 Dimensions School, Somerset, TA20 3AJ
Salary: Up to £26,000.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Start: February 2026
UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.

Due to the rural location of the school and limited access to public transport, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

We're excited to be growing and are now looking for a dedicated and passionate SEN Primary Tutor to join the team at 3 Dimensions School, part of Options Autism, within Outcomes First Group.

This is your chance to work in a nurturing, forward-thinking school where every child is seen as an individual and supported to achieve their very best. Our pupils are children with autism and other learning differences, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, personalised education that builds confidence, independence and lifelong skills.

We're entering an exciting new phase of development, with further expansion planned into 2025. That means real opportunities for career progression, ongoing professional development, and the chance to grow with a passionate organisation that always puts young people first.

About the Role

As an SEN Primary Tutor, you'll deliver engaging, tailored teaching to individual pupils or small groups, helping them make meaningful progress across core subjects and essential life skills. Working closely with teachers, learning support assistants and a wider multidisciplinary team, you'll ensure every child receives the right balance of support and challenge to thrive.

You'll also take ownership of a specific area of work-related learning, contributing to curriculum development and helping embed practical, functional education that prepares pupils for their next steps-both in and beyond school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalised teaching to individuals or small groups, primarily in core subjects
  • Plan, adapt and deliver sessions aligned with individual learning plans and EHCPs
  • Contribute to vocational and work-related learning where appropriate
  • Support pupils to develop functional, social and life skills
  • Track and monitor progress, sharing insights and feedback with colleagues
  • Create and maintain a learning environment that meets pupils' sensory and emotional needs
  • Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants and the wider team to ensure consistency and continuity
Who we are looking for

We're looking for someone creative, flexible and learner-focused, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs.

Essential
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit a range of learning styles and needs
  • Confidence in managing and supporting challenging behaviour in a calm, positive way
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, resilient and well‑organised approach
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
