A leading recruitment agency is looking for Electrician’s Mates / Improvers for a 12-month contract in Tadley, England. The role involves assisting qualified electricians on a commercial fit-out project, ensuring high standards of work and compliance with safety regulations. Essential qualifications include a valid ECS Card, PASMA and IPAF certifications, and the ability to obtain a DBS check. Previous experience in commercial projects is preferred.
Location: Tadley, near Reading
We are seeking experienced and motivated Electrician’s Mates / Improvers to join a 12‑month mechanical & electrical (M&E) fit‑out project on high‑spec office blocks in the Tadley area (near Reading). This is an excellent opportunity to work with a skilled team of tradespeople and support delivery of a major commercial fit‑out project.
Assist qualified electricians with installation, termination, routing, and testing of electrical systems in an office fit‑out environment
Handle cable pulling, conduit installation, fixing trunking, mounting equipment, and general site clean‑up and preparation tasks
Work effectively within the M&E team to meet project deadlines and maintain high standards of quality and workmanship
Comply with all site health, safety, and quality requirements
Participate in induction trade test and follow site rules and instructions
Valid ECS Card (or equivalent)
PASMA and IPAF certifications
Own hand tools
Must hold or be able to obtain DBS check, followed by BPSS clearance prior to start
Must drive or be able to car‑share to site (no public transport near this location)
Successful completion of a Trade Test as part of the site induction
Previous experience in commercial M&E fit‑out projects
Good physical fitness and ability to follow instructions and work at height / in confined spaces (as required)
Strong team‑working ethic and willingness to learn and improve “on the go”
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a tidy and safe work environment
