Job Title: Electrician’s Mate / Improver – Contract (12Months)

Location: Tadley, near Reading

Overview

We are seeking experienced and motivated Electrician’s Mates / Improvers to join a 12‑month mechanical & electrical (M&E) fit‑out project on high‑spec office blocks in the Tadley area (near Reading). This is an excellent opportunity to work with a skilled team of tradespeople and support delivery of a major commercial fit‑out project.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified electricians with installation, termination, routing, and testing of electrical systems in an office fit‑out environment

• Handle cable pulling, conduit installation, fixing trunking, mounting equipment, and general site clean‑up and preparation tasks

• Work effectively within the M&E team to meet project deadlines and maintain high standards of quality and workmanship

• Comply with all site health, safety, and quality requirements

• Participate in induction trade test and follow site rules and instructions

Essential Requirements

• Valid ECS Card (or equivalent)

• PASMA and IPAF certifications

• Own hand tools

• Must hold or be able to obtain DBS check, followed by BPSS clearance prior to start

• Must drive or be able to car‑share to site (no public transport near this location)

• Successful completion of a Trade Test as part of the site induction

Preferred Attributes

• Previous experience in commercial M&E fit‑out projects

• Good physical fitness and ability to follow instructions and work at height / in confined spaces (as required)

• Strong team‑working ethic and willingness to learn and improve “on the go”

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a tidy and safe work environment
