Description du poste
cutting-edge biomechanics and neuromuscular function laboratories. You will play a vital role in supporting teaching and research, managing specialist equipment, ensuring health and safety compliance, and mentoring technical colleagues. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where your expertise will directly impact the learning experience of students and the success of research projects. You'll work closely with academics, students, and fellow technicians in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinating technical operations across teaching and research labs.
Managing and maintaining specialist equipment including EMG, dynamometers, force plates, and 3D motion capture systems.
Supporting laboratory-based teaching and supervising students.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining documentation.
Leading and mentoring technical staff, contributing to their development.
Collaborating on policy development and supporting outreach events.
Qualifications / Experience
Experience in biomechanics and neuromuscular function lab environments.
Strong technical skills and familiarity with relevant software (e.g., motion analysis tools).
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
A Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent industry experience.
