Children's Services Team Lead – Safeguarding
Job summary
A local government authority in Newcastle-under-Lyme seeks a Team Manager for Children's Services to lead safeguarding operations and manage a dedicated team. The role involves providing professional leadership, ensuring compliance with children's legislation, and implementing service improvements. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in managing social work teams and a strong understanding of safeguarding requirements. This temporary position offers a pay rate of £41.42/hr with full-time hours.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing social workers and family practitioners.
- Knowledge of children's safeguarding legislation.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead on statutory responsibilities for children's safeguarding.
- Manage a team of practitioners and oversee day-to-day practice.
- Ensure compliance with the Children and Social Work Act 2017.
