Are you motivated by supporting and helping vulnerable and at-risk young people?
This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and young people who are at risk by building strong relationships and supporting their education and life skills. This role offers experience working with vulnerable and at-risk youth, increasing their engagement, attainment, and life chances.
You will provide vital community support, working alongside teachers and specialists to assist students with special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional, and mental health challenges, and trauma. You will identify risks and needs, escalating issues as necessary.
Many children and young people with SEN face marginalization, trauma, dysfunctional family relationships, low educational attainment, and stigmatization, which create barriers to success. Your role will be to provide consistency and equip them with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and capable of succeeding.
This position is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology seeking practical experience with vulnerable students before pursuing careers in outreach or non-profit sectors. It is also suitable for aspiring Probation Officers, Prison Officers, and Youth Justice Workers.
Personal Qualities:
Training, support, and CPD are provided to ensure safeguarding of all students.
Salary: £80-£112 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30-16:30, PAYE, term time only.
No previous experience required. GCSE in English and Maths is necessary.
If you hold a Psychology, Criminology, or Social Science degree, this role is a great way to utilize your degree.
