Aspiring SEMH Practitioner - SEN School - Wandsworth Full-time | Monday-Friday | Term-time only

Start: ASAP or January 2026

Location: Wandsworth, South West London

Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the resilience, empathy and motivation to help young people overcome barriers to learning and build positive futures?

The Role
  • Working closely with students aged 5-16 with SEMH needs, ASD, ADHD, trauma-related behaviours and learning difficulties.
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group emotional regulation support.
  • Implementing behaviour strategies, de‑escalation techniques and personalised intervention plans.
  • Supporting academic engagement, communication and confidence‑building.
  • Promoting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and pastoral leads.
What We’re Looking For
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Strong emotional resilience, patience and a calm approach.
  • Experience with challenging behaviour, youth work, mentoring or SEND (desirable but not essential).
  • Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Youth Studies, Social Sciences or similar are encouraged to apply.
  • A desire to pursue training in SEMH, mental health, counselling or therapeutic pathways.
