A technology company in the United Kingdom is looking for an experienced Security Project Manager to lead impactful cyber security initiatives. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects, drive improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet strategic goals. This hybrid position based in Winnersh offers a competitive benefits package, including health coverage and ongoing professional development. Strong project management skills, governance knowledge, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success.
Security Project Manager
We're looking for a proactive and experienced Security Project Manager to join our global security team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of impactful cyber security initiatives that align with strategic business goals.
You’ll manage multiple workstreams, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard. With a strong background in security or technology programmes, you’ll bring confidence, structure, and energy to a fast-paced environment.
You’ll also play a key role in enhancing our programme delivery practices, contributing to continuous improvement and driving meaningful change. If you’re a self-starter with security experience who thrives on collaboration and wants to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Winnersh office 3 days a week.
We're looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of cyber security projects from end to end, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are consistently met. You’ll manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes, while aligning project goals with broader business and security objectives.
Working closely with the Programme Manager and fellow PMs, you’ll help coordinate across initiatives for seamless delivery. You’ll also play a key role in programme governance, producing high-quality executive reporting and dashboards with actionable insights.
As a PMO leader, you’ll support the evolution of tools, templates, and ways of working, and contribute to the development of the Security Programme Hub and other business-facing resources. Engagement is central to this role—you’ll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, facilitate effective communication across teams, and represent the OCISO programme in cross-functional initiatives and governance boards.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a strong background in project design and delivery, with experience managing technology-focused projects, and you’ll bring confidence and proactive thinking to the role.
We’re looking for someone who has experience of engaging with dispersed, decentralised teams and aligning them to common security goals.
You’ll have a strong grasp of governance, risk management, and reporting, and be confident using tools like MS Project, JIRA, or Loop. Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills are essential, along with the ability to produce high-quality executive-level reporting. You’ll be an excellent communicator, able to influence at all levels, and bring strong analytical thinking to every challenge.
Desirable experience includes working on cyber security or tech transformation programmes, familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery methods, and mentoring junior PMs. We’re looking for a strategic thinker with a delivery mindset—someone highly organized, calm under pressure, and collaborative, who’s eager to contribute to a purpose-driven programme with real business impact.
