TurnerPropertyRecruitmentareworkingwithaleadingMEPdesignconsultancyseekingaMechanicalEngineertojointheirSouthregionteam.Thisisanexcitingopportunitytocontributetoawidevarietyofbuildingservicesprojects,workingcloselywithseniorengineers,multidisciplinarycolleagues,andclientstodelivercoordinated,compliant,andtechnicallyrobustdesignsolutions.
Youwillberesponsibleforday-to-daymechanicalengineeringdesignonliveprojects,fromfeasibilitythroughtodetaileddesignandconstruction.Thisisadelivery-focusedrolesuitedtosomeonewhoenjoysworkingindetailandwantstodevelopwithinasupportive,technicallydriventeam.
KeyResponsibilities
- Undertakemechanicalengineeringdesignforbuildingservicesprojects,includingheating,ventilation,cooling,anddomesticwatersystems.
- Prepareandcheckcalculations,drawings,andspecificationsacrossconcept,developed,andtechnicaldesignstages.
- Coordinatemechanicalsystemswithotherdisciplines(architectural,structural,electrical,sustainability).
- Workcloselywithprojectleadsandseniorengineerstoensuretechnicalcomplianceandqualityassurance.
- Supportthepreparationofdesignpackagesfortenderandconstruction,includingrespondingtocontractorqueries.
- Contributetointernaltechnicalreviewsandteamknowledgesharing.
- UsedesignsoftwaresuchasIES,AutoCAD,andRevittoproducecoordinatedandaccurateoutputs.
CandidateProfile
Qualifications:
- Degree-qualifiedinMechanicalorBuildingServicesEngineering.
- Ideallyworkingtowardsprofessionalregistration(CIBSEorIMechE).
Experience:
- Proventrackrecorddeliveringmechanicaldesignswithinaconsultancyordesign-and-buildenvironment.
- Projectresponsibilityfromfeasibilitythroughtodetaileddesignandconstruction.
- ExperiencedinusingdesignandMSsoftwaretools(IES,Revit,AutoCAD).
- FamiliaritywithUKBuildingRegulations,CIBSEguides,andindustrystandards.
