Job summary
A local procurement organization in Londonderry is seeking a Procurement & Monitoring Officer to oversee procurement activities, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness. The role requires building relationships with stakeholders and managing tender specifications. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications or experience. This temporary position offers 15 hours per week.
Qualifications
- Experience of building positive and productive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- A relevant third level qualifications & 2 years experience or 4 years relevant experience.
- Experience of public procurement requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist project partners in drafting, reviewing, and managing tender specifications and contracts.
- Support the Programme Manager to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans.
Skills
Education
The Procurement & Monitoring Officer will be responsible for checking and overseeing procurement activities. This will include ensuring purchases are compliant, cost-effective, and meet programme funding requirements. Although based in the Derry City & Strabane District Council area, the position will involve working directly with partner organisations in Inishowen on a regular basis.

- Support the Programme Manager to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans and procedures.
