Job summary
A recruitment agency is currently seeking a Prosecutions Lawyer to join a well-regarded London Borough Council on a locum basis. This full-time role offers an initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension, and requires attendance at the office twice per week in South London. Candidates must be a Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with local government experience and the ability to manage a diverse caseload including education and environmental issues. - Experience in handling cases related to Planning, Education, Environmental Protection, Trading Standards, and Environmental Housing.

Our client is looking for a Locum Prosecutions Lawyer with some local authority experience to join their friendly and welcoming team.
This role is offering an initial 3 month contract with the opportunity to be extended. This is a full-time role and the successful candidate will have to attend the office twice per week and attend court as and when needed. Therefore this role would suit someone who is able to commute to South London.
The main duties of this role include handling a full caseload of prosecutions matters including:
- Planning
- Education
- Environmental Protection
- Trading Standards
- Environmental Housing issues
