The role focuses on delivering high-quality care to patients with structural heart disease. Candidates should have substantial nursing experience and a background in cardiology. We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our world leading team at St Bartholomew's Hospital. The post holder will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with structural heart disease.
To have excellent communication with patients, their families, colleagues, and other members of the internal and external multidisciplinary team.
To manage a caseload of patients with structural heart disease, from initial referral to follow-up after their intervention procedure.
To work autonomously and collaboratively in both Consultant-led and Nurse-led Structural clinics.
To be a member of the ward-based Structural heart team; reviewing patients pre and post structural intervention and providing support to nursing staff.
Be an active member of the valve multidisciplinary team meeting; advocating for patients and enacting the MDT plans.
To undertake regular teaching, training, and mentorship of the nursing team in the provision of care for Structural heart disease patients.
To actively participate in and promote research and service improvement and development.
The post holder will be based at Barts Heart Centre.
