Job summary
A leading workforce solutions provider in Burton upon Trent is looking for a dedicated individual to join their busy production team. The role involves cutting, assembling, and quality checking rubber products while adhering to strict process specifications. Successful candidates will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with a proactive approach to work. This is a full-time role with a pay rate starting from £12.40 per hour.
Qualifications
- Able to efficiently plan own workload and meet targets.

- Able to troubleshoot and escalate work problems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare rubber blanks for moulding process.
- Operate hydraulic power presses and assembly machinery.
- Perform quality checks on assembled products.

Our client our a leading company within the technologically advanced vibration control, rubber fabrication and bonding solutions sector. They are looking for individuals to join their busy production team, who will take responsibility for the assembly and quality of the products manufactured in their cell.
- Cutting and preparing rubber blanks ready for the mould
- Operation of heated hydraulic power presses of the products
- Identifying scrap and escalating any issues that arise to
- Adherence to strict process specifications and quality standards
- Preparation of small metal components for moulding process using shotblasting technology.
- Operation of bespoke assembly machinery of the products
- Adherence to strict process specifications and quality standards
- Quality checks of assembled rubber products
- Adherence to strict process specifications and quality standards.
- Trimming and bonding of final rubber products.
- Batch control and record keeping.
- The job holder is expected to be able to work in a manufacturing environment,
- There is a requirement to be flexible with regards to shifts and working patterns.
- Achieving results - able to efficiently plan own workload and self-motivated to meet daily/weekly targets
- Communication skills - able to actively contribute towards a verbal and written shift handover
- Problem solving - able to troubleshoot own work problems, escalating to Supervisors when necessary and able to work with other team(s) to resolve problems
- Supporting others - willing to support and be flexible towards others in the achievement of their goals
- Change - pro-active and flexible approach to work, making suggestions for improvements, embraces change
- Policies and procedures - willing to adhere to QHSE and other company policies and procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £12.40 per hour
- 06:00am - 16:00pm
- Monday - Thursday
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
