Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer – Corby

£45,000 per annum
Mon‑Fri days + nights (rotating weekly)
25 days + banks
Overtime at x1.5 & x2

Overview

We are looking for a rare opportunity with a business in Corby that has a very low staff turnover and a strong PPM schedule in place to reduce reactive breakdowns and increase machinery performance and efficiency. Working alongside a team, this role will provide variety as well as structure.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on a weekly basis
  • Provide mechanical and/or electrical fault finding and repair on production/processing machinery
  • Support production by ensuring machinery runs safely and efficiently
  • Undertake general site maintenance and first‑line repairs
  • Liaise with external contractors for specialist or major repair work when required
  • Maintain and repair Lamination lines, wrappers, moulding machinery, peelers, granulators, shredders, splicers and baggers

  • A multiskilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical experience
  • A recognised engineering qualification

FAQs
  • How often is the night shift?
    This role includes day shifts (6am‑2pm) Mon‑Fri and a night shift (8pm‑6am) Mon‑Thurs rotating weekly
  • How is overtime paid?
    Overtime is paid at a rate of x1.5 if done during the week or on a Saturday and paid at double time if completed on a Sunday or Bank Holiday
  • How soon can I get started?
    This company is looking to interview in early January and will involve a maximum of 2 stages
  • Is this role suitable for my bias?
