A leading NHS trust in England seeks a Consultant Biomedical Scientist for the cervical screening service. The role involves clinical advice on patient management, reporting cervical screening samples, and managing regional colposcopy meetings. Ideal candidates should have advanced clinical cytology knowledge, experience in training, and a valid UK professional registration. The Consultant Biomedical Scientist for the cervical screening service works under the direction of the Cytology Clinical Lead and deputises for the Consultant BMS Lead as required. They will demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills and experience as a clinical cytologist, giving clinical advice on patient management and follow‑up recommendations in line with national guidance, and provide specialist training to departmental staff and service users both inside and outside the Trust.
