A reputable accountancy practice is seeking an AAT Accountant to join their accounts team in Hertfordshire. You will provide accountancy and business support services to a diverse portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. Due to ongoing growth, our clients are looking for an AAT accountant to support with their portfolio. They are looking for a steady candidate to join their accounts team.
Joining as an AAT Accountant, you will be providing accountancy and business support services to a portfolio of clients, operating across various industries. You will be working under the guidance of the Senior Accountants to assist with the provision of the following services:
- Managing workflow to meet deadlines
- Accurate recording of all financial transactions through ledger postings, nominal journals, bank reconciliations etc
- Processing client records to software including QuickBooks & Xero
- Calculate & make adjustments for depreciation, prepayments, accruals & tax provision
- File VAT returns with HMRC & within accounting data
Our client is looking for a steady candidate, someone who thinks outside the box and is passionate about helping clients. Specifically, they require:
- Determination and drive to continually improve processes and working techniques
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients
- Attention to detail is essential
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proactive and willing to take on increased responsibility
- Xero software experience
- Great communication skills
- A 'can do' attitude with the ability to seek answers
