Job summary
A local council is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team at Putnoe Library. In this part-time role, you will provide excellent customer service, assist with ICT support, and engage with library activities. The position requires flexibility to work in various libraries and is set on Saturdays from 10am - 4pm.
Qualifications
- Ability to help customers use self-service systems.
- Proactive approach and clear communication.
- Flexibility to cover at other local libraries when needed.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person to join the team at Putnoe Library to help us deliver a high quality and welcoming service to a diverse range of customers.
You will have excellent customer service skills and be able to use ICT competently and securely. You will be excellent at multi tasking, have a proactive approach and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
You will be interacting with customers by helping them use the self service system, answering their enquiries, providing ICT and digital support as well as taking part in library activities and carrying out a range of day to day library routines.
Working in a library is an active role which includes carrying books, pushing trolleys and being on your feet for long periods of time Although the job will have a base location which is Putnoe Library and a regular rota, you will be expected to work flexibly and cover at other local libraries if required.
Please note, this is a part-time vacancy working every Saturday 10am - 4pm. Therefore, the salary will be pro-rata.
