Reporting into the Head of Engineering, this is an opportunity to work closely with the founders and help support the growth of their product, and the team.

The Role

As Lead AI Software Engineer, you\'ll combine hands-on technical expertise with a client-facing mindset. You\'ll be instrumental in architecting and delivering the core platform, while also acting as a trusted voice in client conversations - translating complex technology into meaningful business impact.

• Leading the design and development of an AI powered SaaS platform
• Working across Python, Node, TypeScript and Postgres, with a strong appreciation of data engineering best practice
• Exploring and applying cutting-edge AI technologies - experience with LLMs, Claude.AI, or Crew AI would be a huge advantage
• Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and the wider team to shape product direction
• Championing best practice in software engineering, from code quality to scalability
• Growing with the product - from MVP through to market-leading scale

• A consultancy background with proven ability to partner with clients and stakeholders
• Strong technical experience across Python, Node.js, TypeScript and modern data engineering (Postgres)
• Exposure to AI/ML, particularly large language models, is highly desirable
• Exceptional communication skills - able to clearly articulate technical ideas to non-technical audiences
• Entrepreneurial mindset, excited by building something new, disruptive, and high impact
