Job summary
A public sector organization is seeking a Capital Budgeting and Reporting Lead. This role involves managing capital budgets and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong communication skills, capable of explaining financial principles to stakeholders without finance backgrounds. Additional knowledge of IFRS and skills in Oracle and Power BI are advantageous. The position allows for some remote work, with expectations to meet the manager quarterly.
Qualifications
- Must be a Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Ability to explain finance principles to non-finance staff is required.
- Strong Excel skills necessary.
Responsibilities
- Support the Functional Lead in delivering capital budget and reporting services.
- Manage assigned capital budget and year-end processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects.
