Head of Rail Commercial – Lead £250m+ Projects (Remote)
Job summary
A leading company in transportation seeks a Head of Commercial to lead their Rail division, overseeing projects nationwide across England. This key role involves managing contracts, financial planning, and risk management while developing commercial strategies. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing large scale projects. This position offers flexibility in working arrangements, blending remote work with occasional office travel, contributing to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications
- Academic and professional qualifications commensurate with a Head of Commercial Manager.
- Proven experience at a senior commercial level, managing schemes valued at £250m and above.
- Ability to inspire, lead, and communicate effectively across diverse teams and projects.
- A full driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Manage contracts and subcontracts, overseeing financial and commercial planning.
- Lead and develop a team of Commercial Leads, including managers and apprentices.
- Oversee contract negotiations and procurement strategies.
- Drive forecasting, reporting, and financial performance.
