About the Team

The financial control team is responsible for financial planning, year end & audit, and all financial reporting. We provide consistent support to the whole charity and ensure all statutory and regulatory compliance is met. We work collaboratively across all teams, to improve communication and tighten financial controls.

We are highly skilled, technical experts striving for continuous improvement and have a positive impact on our stakeholders.

About the Role

The role operates as a key strategic partner within the financial control team, shaping and delivering the financial elements of the Education and Central Services strategy. It ensures initiatives are financially sustainable, risks are identified early, and opportunities for growth and efficiency are maximised.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and drive the financial strategy for Education and Central Services
  • Convert financial analysis into strategic recommendations that drive organisational success
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and business risks, embedding robust governance and compliance standards
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience ensuring quality and consistency in operational processes
  • Strategic understanding of the wider public and charity sector, including its financial governance and regulatory environment
  • Excellent communication, to deliver clear, compelling messages, both in writing and verbally

This advert is for a full time permanent position at 35 Hours per week

This role is remote, home-based
