Job Description
Our client, a leading Utility Company, is seeking a Senior HVDC Cable Engineer on a freelance basis to join their team. As a Senior HVDC Cable Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cable systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement HVDC cable systems, including system layout, cable sizing, and cable routing
Prepare technical specifications and drawings for HVDC cable systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors
Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
Conduct technical reviews and evaluations of HVDC cable systems
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in HVDC cable engineering
Strong technical knowledge of HVDC cable systems and design methodologies
Experience with cable sizing, routing, and installation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
