Senior Python Developer / Team Leader
Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Python Developer with Team Lead experience to join an EdTech company. This remote role involves leading the development of scalable Python applications, providing technical leadership, and mentoring developers. The ideal candidate will have over six years of Python experience, strong knowledge in AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code, and an understanding of Agile methodologies. Qualifications
- 6+ years’ Python development experience, including leadership at senior level.
- Strong AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, CI/CD and containerisation.
- Agile delivery and team leadership experience.
- EdTech or eLearning exposure desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable Python applications.
- Provide technical leadership within an Agile environment.
- Design and maintain AWS-based systems using Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Set best practices across development, testing and deployment.
- Mentor developers and contribute to technical innovation.
Skills
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Salary: £55,000 – £62,000 per annum
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client who are in EdTech supporting schools across the UK. The business develops cloud‑based solutions that help schools use technology and data to improve outcomes.
They are looking for a Senior Python Developer with Team Lead experience to join their engineering team. You’ll lead development, set technical standards and support the delivery of scalable, cloud‑native products.
- Lead the design and development of scalable Python applications
