A preservation organization is looking for volunteers to join the Editorial Committee. This role involves participating in monthly virtual meetings and collaborating on various tasks. PREMIS is seeking to fill up to 3 vacancies in the Editorial Committee (EC) during the winter 2024. TheEC solicits new members through open calls and will evaluate all applications. There might be an online call performed after all applications are reviewed.
The EC holds a virtual meeting once every month, currently at 3pm CET/CEST, and also has smaller teams working with specific tasks like outreach, updates to the rights statements, and a lot more. The teams also hold regularvirtual meetings. You are expected to be able to devote time to actively participate in the work of the EC. ThePREMIS EC tries to meet face-to-face once a year, most often at the iPres conference, and would appreciate it if you as a member of the EC could be there.
ThePREMIS EC would like to see applications from people from different parts of the preservation community in all parts of the world, and if you have experience within the research metadata field that is an extra bonus.
