Electra Networks is expanding! We are currently seeking Telecommunications Installation Engineer to join our fast-paced and growing project team.

Job location: Nationwide

Hours: Full time, 40 hrs per week

Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience

1. The installation of all types of telecommunication equipment at customer locations, primarily in Data Centres and switch sites. This will include:
2. Installation of equipment cabinets/Racks including server racks and Vendor specific equipment racks in both raised floor and non-raised floor environments
3. Installation of equipment within racks
4. Installation of all the associated cabling including:
5. - AC power cabling
6. - Cat 6/Cat 5 Network patching
7. - Fibre patching (Eqpt to Eqpt or within ODF)
8. - Labelling of all the above in accordance with Customer specific standards
9. - Fault finding (use of power meters, etc)
10. - Ability to splice

Additional responsibilities include carrying out site surveys, liaising with internal and external customers, working to tight timescales as part of a high-performing team, assessing risks on site, producing documentation/reporting for completed installation work, and working in accordance with the company's Health & Safety, quality procedures, and security requirements.

• At least 2 years experience working as an installation engineer
• 18th Edition qualification desirable but not essential
• First Aid Certification preferable
• Working at Height Certification desirable
• CSCS qualification desirable
• Clean UK Driving license and Right to Work in the UK essential
• Computer literate, able to use Windows Office
• Familiarity with basic Command Line commands such as ping and IP address interrogation

• Ability to work from customers' work planning files and standards to achieve task completion
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work unsupervised, use initiative, and meet strict deadlines
• Enthusiastic, proactive team player
• Ability to methodically work through technical procedures and enjoy quick-fire problem solving
• Ability to communicate effectively during installations
