Job summary
A creative agency in London is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for a 6-month fixed-term contract, working 3 days a week. The role involves managing month-end close processes, payroll for UK and US, and compliance with VAT returns. Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process including reconciliations.
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts.
- Manage payroll processing across UK and US offices.
- Oversee supplier payment runs ensuring compliance.
- Review and submit VAT returns in line with requirements.
Skills
We are working with a London based creative agency to help them find a Senior Finance Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract, working 3 days a week. This work can be done remotely, but you must be UK based.
- Lead the month-end close process, including reviews, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts with clear analysis and accurate data.
- Manage payroll processing (across UK and US offices) and ensure timely and accurate staff payments.
- Oversee and authorise supplier payment runs, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Review and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
- Administer, review and track team expense pots.
- Perform ad hoc finance tasks, including updating analysis spreadsheets and supporting wider finance projects when needed.
- Applicants must be fluent in Excel and Xero.
- Comfortable working independently and have a flexible approach.
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
- Experience in a creative agency environment is beneficial.
