Join the team as our next Commercial Account Executive for Segment Sales, Twilio's Customer Data Platform arm.

About the job

This is a sales role focused on selling Segment’s Customer Data Platform into an $80Bn TAM. The role primarily involves landing & expanding new logos by leading the full Segment sales cycle. It is a top initiative for the business and will focus on our Commercial territory in DACH across several verticals.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Build upon the growth & adoption of Segment Commercial clients, up to 2000 employees.
  • Lead compelling presentations of Segment’s product and vision to a broad range of audiences, from c-level executives to individual contributors.
  • Develop expansion opportunities from our existing customer base and land new target accounts.
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts with clear visibility on sales and revenue performance by actively managing your pipeline of opportunities.
  • Partner with and coordinate cross-functional internal teams (Sales Development, Legal, Engineering, Security, Marketing, Product) to navigate complex sales cycles efficiently.
  • Engage in team development and mentoring.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in a closing role at a SaaS provider, with a record of top performance.
  • Experience selling complex SaaS solutions, navigating organizations, and building value with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in team selling environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving work environment.
  • Unwavering dedication to success and career development.
  • Intellectual curiosity and high ambition.
  • Fluent German speaker.
  • Experience selling to mid-market clients.
  • Cross-selling experience in IT, Marketing, Data, Analytics, and Engineering.
  • Business value selling experience.
  • Knowledge of MEDDIC, Command of the Message, and Challenger methodologies.

Location

This role is remote but must be based in the United Kingdom.

Travel

We prioritize connection and relationship-building with our customers and colleagues. This role may require travel up to 25% for in-person meetings, events, and client visits.
