Job summary
A technology service provider is seeking an experienced InLive Support - Operations Engineer to join their operations team in Telford. The role requires strong Java experience, specifically in Java Microservices and cloud-based solutions utilizing AWS. Candidates should have experience in CI/CD pipelines, and strong interpersonal skills. This is a 6-month contract role with a hybrid working model, requiring a regular on-site presence.
Qualifications
- 5 years of solid Java experience required.
- Proven knowledge & experience in Java Microservices, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot 2.
- Experience with AWS is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the stable performance and improvement of Enterprise Integration Services.
- Deliver and support the EIS Contracts' Software Roadmap during its transition to Cloud Infrastructure.

Role Title: InLive Support - Operations Engineer
Duration: 6 month contract
Location: Telford, hybrid 2 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £466.83 p/d Umbrellainside IR35
Clearance required: SC Eligible is required, Active SC is desired.
We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our operations team, contributing to the stable performance and continual improvement of a host of Enterprise Integration Services, across a range of infrastructure platforms.
Leveraging knowledge in Java based products such as Weblogic and Springboot, you\'ll play a vital role in delivering and supporting the EIS Contracts\' Software Roadmap during its transition to Cloud Infrastructure.
We are seeking a person with the following skills:
- Must have 5 years solid Java experience.
- A proven Java knowledge & experience in Java Microservices specifically, Java Spring Framework and Java Spring Boot 2.
- Will have worked on cloud-based solutions utilising AWS.
- Experience of creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines including Bamboo and Git Runner.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills team ethic.
- Have experience of working in a Scrum and Kanban environment.
- Have experience of Test-Driven Development and Pair Programming.
- Capable of innovative thinking and strong problem-solving skills, to feed a healthy backlog of internal system and service improvement work.
- A regular on-site presence to promote and encourage hybrid working in others.
- Developing using Java 7 upwards, with Spring Framework & Spring Boot 2.
- Use of Oracle and MongoDB within solutions.
- Kubernetes with Helm.
- Red Hat Linux.
- Scripting in Shell Script, Perl and SQL
- Jira, Confluence.
- Experience of supporting Weblogic based Services
- Experience of working on Legacy infrastructure, including physical data centre and FAST-P
