Our client is a global private real estate investment firm who invest opportunistically in the Europe and the US are seeking to hire an Associate in London to support deal execution in the UK and across Europe. The firm are sector agnostic with a bias towards residential, logistics and industrial sectors. There is significant scope for growth within a very well capitalised yet entrepreneurial business.
Key Responsibilities
Analysing, evaluating, and recommending new real estate deals.
Financial modelling of potential deals, designing and maintaining underwriting models
Contribute to the development of investment strategies for European and US Real Estate markets.
Conduct detailed industry, market, and counterparty research to support investment theses and produce investment memoranda
Manage comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial modelling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment.
Coordinate with external advisors, operating partners, and internal teams to ensure thorough evaluation of investment opportunities.
Develop and present investment proposals and recommendations to the IC
Work closely with legal, financial, and operational advisors.
Manage transaction processes, including documentation, regulatory approvals, and closing procedures.
Oversee and support the management of portfolio investments, driving strategic initiatives and value creation.
Monitor financial and operational performance of investments
Assist in the development and execution of exit strategies.
Work closely with senior team members of the firm
Contribute to the overall strategy and success of the business.
Qualifications, background, and experience
Strong academic background with a university degree in a relevant subject (preferably finance, accounting, or banking)
4-6 years' relevant Real Estate investment / transactional experience in the UK/Europe
Experience across a wide range of real estate sectors and geographies, ideally residential, logistics and industrial
Experience ideally from within from the buy-side including real estate private equity or real estate advisory/investment banking or asset manager
Good understanding of financial structures (including equity, debt, and JVs)
Ability to communicate complex, abstract messages in a simple, clear manner.
Strong financial modelling skills with meticulous attention to detail/accuracy with numbers
Self-starter able to organize and prioritise workload whilst meeting set timelines
Natural ability to apply critical thinking and take a proprietary approach to investment underwriting
Excellent communication abilities - verbal and written.
Able to collaborate at all levels of seniority
Analytical and intellectually curious mind
Committed, results-oriented team player, keen to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy
Competitive base salary (depending on experience) + Bonus
