Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Principal Auditor to support the Internal Audit team for Richmond and Wandsworth. The role involves preparing and delivering audit plans, providing complex advice on internal controls, and mentoring auditors. Candidates should have at least 5 years of audit experience, strong communication skills, and preferably hold Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or CCAB qualifications. The position is primarily onsite in Wandsworth with occasional travel and offers competitive remuneration.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' audit experience, preferably with public sector clients.
- Ability to independently handle a wide range of internal audits.
- Supervisory experience preferred but formal line management experience not required.
Responsibilities
- Support audit management team in delivering audit services effectively.
- Assist in preparation of strategic and operational audit plans.
- Lead and direct colleagues in the absence of management.
