Temporary Works Coordinator (Freelance) - A47 Tuddenham

I'm working with a leading civil engineering contractor on a significant highways scheme on the A47 in Tuddenham, and we're looking for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join the team on a freelance basis. This role is expected to last for approximately 12 months.

This project involves major infrastructure upgrades, and you will be a key player in ensuring the safety and integrity of all temporary works.

As the Temporary Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of temporary works on-site, from design review to final sign-off. Your duties will include:

• Managing the Temporary Works Register and ensuring all processes are followed meticulously.

• Reviewing and challenging temporary works designs for practicality and safety.

• Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with approved designs and industry standards.

• Acting as the primary point of contact between the design teams, construction teams, and subcontractors regarding all temporary works matters.

• Promoting a strong health and safety culture and providing advice to the site team.

• Ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

You'll need a proven track record as a Temporary Works Coordinator, ideally with extensive experience on heavy civil engineering projects, specifically within the highways or infrastructure sectors.

You should have:

• A relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, Degree in Civil Engineering).

• Certification from a recognised Temporary Works Coordinator course (e.g., CITB).

• A deep understanding of industry best practices and relevant regulations.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
