A leading logistics and distribution company in Tamworth is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver. This role involves operating a counterbalance forklift, assisting with order fulfillment, and participating in general warehouse duties. Candidates should have a valid MHE certificate and a strong work ethic. Competitive pay of approximately £12.64 per hour and opportunities for internal training and overtime are offered.

IMMEDIATE start, 42 hour weeks
We are currently recruiting for a time-served Forklift (FLT) Driver with an in-date Counterbalance certificate from an external, accreditating body.
This is an exciting role for a leading logistics and distribution business, that is enjoying year-on-year growth. As part of their fulfilment team, you would be utilised both on & off the MHE. As such, we require candidates who are comfortable with more physical warehouse duties; this is not a 100% forklift driving role, so please do not apply if this is your priority.
As part of our FLT Driver position, your daily duties will include:
- Daily operation of a Counterbalance fork lift, helping to sequence pallets and load lorry trailers
- Pick & pack orders using a PDT
- Stacking and wrapping pallets
- General housekeeping of your work station
- Operating of machines
- Quality assurance
- Maintaining a fast pace of order fulfilment with your colleagues
Rate of pay for this role will be circa £12.64 per hour.
Days of work: Monday to Friday
Working shift:7am-4pm
Qualities desired:
- Minimum 12 months experience working as an FLT Driver
- In-date MHE certificate
- Willingness to get involved in general production / factory duties
- Strong work ethic with a good attention to detail
- Good sense of humour
