Job summary

A leading independent waste to energy company is looking for a Permit Office Technician to support day-to-day operations at two facilities on the Thames Estuary. You will handle planning outages, operating mobile plant, and managing site consumables. The successful candidate must have experience with permits and engineering processes. Basic salary is up to £39,000, with a potential bonus of up to 12.5%. A clear progression and development plan is also available.

Qualifications

  • Experience with permits and engineering processes.
  • Ability to assist with planning and executing plant outages.
  • Experience in a similar industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for loading and offloading of consumable material supply.
  • Assisting with day-to-day operations within the plant's Permit Office.
  • Carry out mechanical & low voltage isolations as directed.
  • Monitor and manage consumable stock.
  • Conduct maintenance & safety checks on plant and vehicles.

Skills

Familiarity with Waste to Energy process
Ability to carry out LV & Mechanical isolations
Competence in reading & interrogating P&ID's / SLDS
Competence with Permit to Work systems

Education

Engineering / Technical Apprenticeship
Qualification in Engineering/Operational Discipline
IOSH in Health & Safety certification
Certified to use mobile plant
