Job summary
A hotel in Cambridge is seeking a Room Attendant to join their Housekeeping team. You will be responsible for ensuring that guest bedrooms are cleaned to high standards and interact with guests in conversational English. No previous experience is necessary, but a positive attitude is essential. This role offers flexible shift patterns and opportunities for internal development.

- Ensure all guest bedrooms are cleaned daily to the highest standards.

- Follow set shifts, typically between 9am – 3pm.

£12.75 Per Hour • Casual Contract
- Work as part of the Housekeeping team to ensure all guest bedrooms are cleaned daily to the highest standards.
- Demonstrate an eye for detail and maintain high standards to meet guests' expectations of a comfortable stay.
- Interact with guests during your shift; conversational English is essential. You will be a vital cog in ensuring bedrooms are clean and tidy for guests’ arrival and continued stays.
- Follow set shifts, typically between 9am – 3pm, 5 days out of 7. Start times can be flexible between 9am – 10am; early start times or flexible contracts/framing for weekends can be discussed at interview.
- Ability to work on your own for periods of time.
- Good level of physical fitness to perform housekeeping tasks.
- Full training in the use of chemicals and equipment will be provided.
- Experience in a similar role is not required, but a positive attitude and desire to make a difference within the hotel is essential.
- Conversational English is essential due to guest interactions.
We actively encourage internal development and progression. Hotel Du Vin aims to have 100 new apprentices in the business by year end. Candidates for this position will have the opportunity to enroll on our apprenticeship scheme after probation.
