Job summary
A leading provider in desalination technology is seeking a Technical Storesperson to safely receive and manage inventory. Responsibilities include verifying goods against orders, maintaining ERP records, and promoting health and safety practices. The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in inventory management, technical drawings comprehension, and independent work. Salt Separation Services have been leading in desalination technology for over 35 years; specialising in the engineering, commissioning and servicing of reverse osmosis (RO) plants that provide drinkable water solutions across a variety of industries. Our systems are used in sectors including naval, oil, cruise ships, and more. We’re committed to designing reliable, high-quality RO and water filtration solutions that meet the unique demands of each industry and customer we serve. - Safely receive, store, and issue materials and equipment.
- Checking items against technical drawings.
- Verify incoming and outgoing goods against purchase orders and job travellers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
- Inspect incoming goods and communicate discrepancies to relevant departments.
- Pick and issue materials for production and sales orders.
- Document and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support annual financial audits with accurate documentation.
- Promote and adhere to Health & Safety policies, including PPE compliance and reporting near misses.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and inspection processes.
- Experience in reading and understanding technical drawings, within an engineering environment.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- Competent in ERP systems and documentation standards (preferably Epicor).
- Knowledge of HSE practices and commitment to safe working environments.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
- Physically fit and able to complete manual tasks.
