Job Title: Technical Storeperson

Compensation: £32,000 - £34,000

Salt Separation Services have been leading in desalination technology for over 35 years; specialising in the engineering, commissioning and servicing of reverse osmosis (RO) plants that provide drinkable water solutions across a variety of industries. Our systems are used in sectors including naval, oil, cruise ships, and more. We’re committed to designing reliable, high-quality RO and water filtration solutions that meet the unique demands of each industry and customer we serve. Key Responsibilities
  • Safely receive, store, and issue materials and equipment.
  • Checking items against technical drawings.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing goods against purchase orders and job travellers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
  • Inspect incoming goods and communicate discrepancies to relevant departments.
  • Pick and issue materials for production and sales orders.
  • Document and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support annual financial audits with accurate documentation.
  • Promote and adhere to Health & Safety policies, including PPE compliance and reporting near misses.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and inspection processes.
  • Experience in reading and understanding technical drawings, within an engineering environment.
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Competent in ERP systems and documentation standards (preferably Epicor).
  • Knowledge of HSE practices and commitment to safe working environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
  • Physically fit and able to complete manual tasks.
