Environment & Sustainability Manager - Major Infrastructure Project
Site-Based | Suffolk
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Package and Benefits

Are you an experienced Environmental & Sustainability Manager looking to make an impact on one of the UK's most high-profile infrastructure projects?

We're working with a leading Tier One contractor to recruit a talented professional to drive environmental and sustainability performance across a complex, nationally significant construction site. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping best practice on a project of real scale and public importance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead environmental and sustainability delivery across major project work packages
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, permits, and wider UK environmental legislation
• Support site teams with material management plans and sustainability objectives
• Liaise with external stakeholders including local authorities and statutory bodies
• Conduct internal audits, manage reporting, and support regulatory engagement
• Provide technical expertise on waste, water, air quality, and carbon
• Deliver training sessions to raise awareness and improve on-site performance
• Help implement the company-wide sustainability strategy on the project

What We're Looking For:

• Significant experience managing environmental performance on large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA)
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and ISO 14001/50001 systems
• Experience engaging with regulators and managing incident investigations
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Full UK driving licence and ability to be site-based in Suffolk
